Invitaion

Dear Friends and Colleagues:

the portrait of Masao Matsutani, M.D., D.M.Sci. It is our pleasure and honor to welcome you to the 17th International Brain Tumor Conference (i.e., the so-called "Asilomar" meeting), in Hakodate-Ohnuma, Japan. As you well know, this meeting has been in place for over three decades, and represents the oldest and the most scientific international brain tumor conference of its kind.
We plan to make this conference very similar to the traditional Asilomar conference.
That is, only qualified neuro-oncologists, and neuro- or cancer- biologists are to be invited, and all of them are welcome to participate in the active discussions in a single oral presentation room.
They can also exchange information and ideas freely in the poster presentation room that is open to the public until late at night.
The conference will take place in the Hakodate-Ohnuma area. I believe this really is an appropriate place for a whole-day discussion in the field of neuro-oncology because Ohnuma is famous for its scenic lakeside view, and the conference venue, Hakodate-Onuma Prince Hotel, located in a corner of the Ohnuma lakes, is nestled amongst beautiful forests.

We look forward to meeting you in Hakodate-Ohnuma in the southern part of Hokkaido, JAPAN, and to discussing our accomplishments and plans for the future of neuro-oncology.
